
Alabama Softball Welcomes Three During Fall Signing Period

The Crimson Tide signed high school seniors Jocelyn Briski, Kenleigh Cahalan and Lauren Johnson to national letters of intent
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – A trio of highly-touted players signed their national letters of intent this week with Alabama Softball during the fall signing period, as Jocelyn Briski, Kenleigh Cahalan and Lauren Johnson are slated to join the Crimson Tide as freshman for the 2024 season.
The Tide's three signees are listed below alphabetically:
Jocelyn Briski (RHP – Phoenix, Ariz.)
- Two-time Region Player of the Year (2021-22)
- Desert Vista High School all-time strikeouts leader (737)
- PGF 2023 All-American Futures
- 0.42 career ERA, 33 wins and .517 batting average at Desert Vista
- Ranked 11th in class by Perfect Game Softball, 13th by Softball America
- 2022 6A State Pitcher of the Year
Patrick Murphy on Jocelyn Briski
"We think Jocelyn has the potential to be a great collegiate pitcher. Her intangibles are off the charts. We are so excited to sign someone from the softball hotbed of Arizona."
Kenleigh Cahalan (IF – Trussville, Ala.)
- Ranked No. 1 overall player in 2023 class by Perfect Game Softball
- 2022 Alabama Miss Softball
- 2022 MaxPreps Alabama Player of the Year
- Two-time Gatorade Player of the Year finalist (2021-22)
- Two-time PGF All-American and MaxPreps All-American
- 2022 PGF 18U National Champion with Birmingham Thunderbolts
- 2022 All-State Player of the Year
- 7A State Runner-Up
- All-State every year of varsity
- Made All-State as 8th grader, the youngest player in 7A ever to do so

Lauren Johnson (OF – Franklin, Tenn.)

- 2022 Middle Tennessee Softball Player of the Year
- Tied 9th at 2022 18U Alliance National Championship
- Broke Centennial High School records for RBIs, home runs, runs scored and career batting average
- 2021 District Rookie of the Year
- 2022 District MVP
- 2022 First Team All-Midstate
