
Alabama’s Rhyan White Named SEC Swimmer of the Week

The Crimson Tide Olympic medalist and World Champion won a trio of events to open the season at Arkansas, clinching the team win
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Alabama's Rhyan White was named the Southeastern Conference Swimmer of the Week following the Crimson Tide's season opening win at Arkansas last Friday.
An Olympic medalist and World Champion, White garnered a trio of individual wins at Arkansas to lead the Crimson Tide over the Razorbacks. She broke two Arkansas Natatorium records, going 52.68 in the 100 backstroke and 1:51.81 in the 200 backstroke, winning both. She also won the 200 individual medley with a time of 1:59.98.
After being off from competition this weekend, White and the Crimson Tide return to action on October 15 at 10 a.m., facing off against South Carolina at home in the Alabama Aquatic Center.
