The Crimson Tide captured the doubles point for the third straight match, as Filip Planinsek and Enzo Aguiard posted wins in singles play
OXFORD, Miss. –– The Alabama men's tennis team (2-1) suffered a narrow 4-3 loss to No. 18 Ole Miss (3-0) Saturday at the William F. Galtney Indoor Tennis Center.
Alabama took two of three doubles courts to start the match with a 1-0 lead. The battle continued as the match saw four singles courts go into a third set as both teams fought for control. Filip Planinsek rallied for a come-from-behind three-set win against 44th-ranked Finn Reynolds as Enzo Aguiard came out victorious in a contested three-set battle on court three.
From Head Coach George Husack
"Another tight one against the Rebels and this time they did a better job of imposing their game and executing down the stretch. We were a couple players down but our guys didn't bat an eye. They stepped up and put us in position to win. We now have an opportunity to respond to this performance in practice and tighten up the screws in preparation for the ITA Kickoff next weekend."
