The Crimson Tide opens its season at home with Delta State September 24, the first of five dual meets this season
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama swimming and diving announced its 2021-22 schedule Friday, with a slate that includes five dual meets and five regular-season invitationals.
Alabama opens the season at home on September 24 with Delta State at 2:30 p.m. CT at the Alabama Aquatic Center. Outside of last year's COVID-disrupted schedule, the Crimson Tide has opened its swimming and diving season with the Statesmen every year since 2012-13, with seven of those eight meetings coming in September. Prior to last season, Alabama-Delta State has been the first collegiate dual meet in the country for several years in a row.
Head Coach Margo Geer Said
"I'm excited for where our program can go this season. We are coming off a terrific year with a lot of success on the national and international scene and we're looking to carry that even further. We have a strong schedule that gives us a lot of opportunities to compete and grow through the season. This team has a great mix of veterans and newcomers and we're looking for every individual to be the best they can be this season - one day at a time."
