
Alabama Women's Golf Unveils 2021-22 Schedule

The Crimson Tide will begin its 17th season under head coach Mic Potter, its 48th season overall
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama women's golf team will begin its 17th season under head coach Mic Potter and its 48th season overall next month, as the program announced the tournament schedule for the upcoming season on Friday. The schedule is comprised of nine tournaments, including four fall events, four spring events and the 2022 Southeastern Conference Championship.
The Crimson Tide will begin its long-anticipated season at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate at Royal Golf Club in Lake Elmo, Minn., Sept. 13-15. Later that month, the Tide will trek north again to compete at the Mason Rudolph Championship at Vanderbilt Legends Club (North Course) in Franklin, Tenn., Sept. 24-26. In mid-October, Alabama returns to the longstanding Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational at Finley Golf Course in Chapel Hill, N.C. (Oct. 15-17), before concluding the fall campaign at The Ally at Old Waverly Country Club in West Point, Miss. (Oct. 25-27).
The spring schedule commences Feb. 20-22, as the Crimson Tide competes at the Moon Golf Invitational at Suntree Country Club (Classic Course) in Melbourne, Fla. Then, the Tide will travel east to play at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate at Long Cove Club in Hilton Head Island, S.C., Feb. 28-March 2. Alabama will conclude its regular season with back-to-back tournaments in March, including the Valspar Augusta Invitational at Forest Hills Golf Course in August, Ga., (Mach 12-13) and the Liz Murphey Intercollegiate at University of Georgia Golf Course in Athens, Ga., (March 25-27).
Alabama will open its postseason at the 2022 SEC Championship, April 13-17. For the ninth time since 2013, it will be held in the Crimson Tide's own backyard at the Greystone Golf and Country Club (Legacy Course) in Birmingham, Ala.
The Crimson Tide women's golf team returns eight players (four seniors, three juniors, one sophomore), including the 2021 SEC Freshman of the Year in Benedetta Moresco, and welcomes two newcomers, (one freshman, one junior) for a team total of 10 members.
