
Inclement Weather Postpones Second Attempt to Begin NCAA Baton Rouge Regional

NCAA officials ruled the course unplayable on Tuesday morning
BATON ROUGE, La. – The NCAA Baton Rouge Regional has been postponed until Wednesday at 10 a.m. due to rain and course conditions. This is the second straight day that the tournament has been delayed because of inclement weather. NCAA regulations state play must conclude by Wednesday afternoon.
If play can begin, tee times will start at 10 a.m. using a shotgun start. Alabama will start on holes 3-6 and be paired alongside Maryland and Oregon. It is yet to be determined the number of holes to be played Wednesday.
The field consists of 18 teams, six of which are ranked in the Top 25 in the Golfstat.com Team Rankings. The top six teams along with the top three individuals from non-advancing teams will go on to compete at the NCAA Championship in Scottsdale, Ariz., which begins May 21st.
