Benedetta Moresco Receives SEC Freshman of the Week Honor

The rookie earned the title after her performance in the LSU Tiger Golf Classic
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. –Benedetta Moresco received her first SEC Freshman of the Week honor Thursday after her performance in the LSU Tiger Golf Classic this week.
The honor comes after finishing in a tie for sixth place, marking her fourth consecutive top-10 finish this spring. In the last four tournaments, Moresco has averaged 71.67 strokes per round to pace the Crimson Tide.
Moresco led the Alabama women’s golf team this week after carding rounds of 70-73-73/216 to finish at even-par. The rookie carded 12 birdies in three rounds of play which ranked tied for sixth in the field. She also finished third in the field in scoring average on par 4s, averaging 3.90 and scoring 3-under on the tournament.
Alabama returns to action next week at the SEC Women’s Golf Championship in Birmingham, Ala. on April 14-18 at the Legacy Course at Greystone Golf and Country Club.
