Alabama Selected as One of 20 Predetermined Preliminary NCAA Softball Regional Host Sites

The list of 20 will be narrowed to 16 when the NCAA Tournament bracket is announced Sunday, May 16

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama Softball's Rhoads Stadium was selected as one of 20 predetermined preliminary NCAA Softball Regional host sites, announced Friday by the NCAA.

Due to the health and safety protocols surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, it was deemed necessary to conduct NCAA championship competition at predetermined sites. Of the 20 selected sites, the committee will choose 16 to host regional round games on Sunday, May 16 with the announcement of the NCAA Tournament bracket. NCAA Regional play begins the following weekend, May 21-23, and eight of those 16 regional sites will be in contention to host super regionals the following week.
