Alabama Tied in 10th Place After 36 Holes at Gamecock Intercollegiate

Columbia, S.C. – Benedetta Moresco continued her impressive first round campaign by posting a 2-under par 70 in her second time around the course. Polly Mack carded three birdies and an eagle to come in at one-under par for the second round. As a team, the Crimson Tide improved their team score by five strokes from day one.
Alabama sits tied for 10th place at 17-over par 593 (299-294) at the conclusion of play in the second round. After carding birdies on two of her first three holes, Moresco finished the second round tied for third place in the individual standings.
South Carolina is in first place in the team standings with a two-round total of 5-under par 572 (287-285). Lois Kaye Go of South Carolina and Erica Shepherd of Duke lead in the individual standings at 6-under par.

A Look at the Alabama Lineup
- Benedetta Moresco sunk four birdies to finish at 2-under par 70 in the second round
- Polly Mack enters her final round tied for 27th at three-over par
- Getting back to form, Caroline Curtis bounced back from a 5-over par 77 performance on Monday, carding a one-over par 73 on the day
- Kenzie Wright finished the day at 8-over par 80
- Emilie Øverås wrapped her second round at 12-over par 84

Round Three Begins
Due to weather concerns, the tournament continued play after the conclusion of the second round. In the third round, the Crimson Tide are 5-over par as a team through nine holes. Kenzie Wright is leading Alabama through its final time around the course at even-par.
Next Up
The Crimson Tide will return to the par-72, 6,297-yard Columbia Country Club on Wednesday to continue the final round of competition. Alabama will be paired with Texas A&M and Georgia for the final 18.
