Alabama Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Teams Earn 22 Indoor All-America Honors

The Crimson Tide’s total includes seven first-team honors, 11 second-team accolades and four honorable mention selections
NEW ORLEANS – A total of 20 members of the Alabama men's and women's track and field teams earned 22 indoor All-America honors, the USTFCCCA announced this week. The Crimson Tide men finished seventh and the women 16th at last weekend's NCAA Indoor Championships in Fayetteville, Ark.
Tamara Clark led the women's team with first-team honors in the 200-meters and 60-meters, where she finished second and fourth, respectively.
On the men's side of the slate, Eliud Kipsang led the way for the Tide with a runner-up finish in the mile, earning First Team All-America recognition. Other first-team honorees for the men include Christian Edwards (triple jump), Bobby Colantonio Jr. (weight throw), Champion Allison (400-meters) and Jake Spotswood (heptathlon).

- In addition to its seven First Team All-America indoor accolades in 2021, the Crimson Tide tallied 11 second-team nods and four honorable mention selections
- Second-team honorees include Champion Allison (4x400-meter relay), Leander Forbes (400-meters), Jace Jones (distance medley relay), Jonathan Martin (4x400-meter relay), Cherisse Murray (shot put), Isaac Odugbesan (shot put), Gabe Serrano (4x400-meter relay & distance medley relay), Mark Shannon (distance medley relay), Grady Shiflet (distance medley relay), Joshua St. Clair (4x400-meter relay)
- Honorable-mention honorees are Christal Mosley (distance medley relay), Jami Reed (distance medley relay), Lauren Turner (distance medley relay) and Amaris Tyynismaa (distance medley relay)
