
Alabama Swimming and Diving Has Five Slated for International Competition in December

Rhyan White, Kalia Antoniou, Diana Petkova and Kaique Alves are headed to the FINA World Championships along with Team USA assistant coach Ozzie Quevedo, while Mohamed Farouk will compete at the World Junior Diving Championships
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama swimming and diving has four swimmers, a diver and a coach set to take part in the upcoming FINA World Championships and FINA World Junior Diving Championships over the first three weeks of December.
Rhyan White (USA), Kalia Antoniou (Cyprus), Diana Petkova (Bulgaria) and Kaique Alves (Brazil) will compete at the 2021 World Championships in Abu Dhabi Dec. 16-21, while the Crimson Tide associate head coach Ozzie Quevedo will serve as part of Team USA's coaching staff. Mohamed Farouk (Egypt) will compete off the 3-meter springboard and the platform at the 2021 FINA World Junior Diving Championships in Kyiv, Ukraine Dec. 3-9.

White, Antoniou and Petkova all competed at the Tokyo Olympics over the summer, with White earning a silver medal as part of Team USA's 400-meter medley relay contingent. Antoniou competed in the sprint freestyle events, while Petkova swam the 100-meter breaststroke and the 200-meter individual medley in Tokyo.
