
Alabama Men’s Tennis’ Martin and Planinsek Fall in Round of 32 at ITA National Fall Championships

The doubles pairing of Martin and Planinsek will compete in the consolation Round of 16 Friday evening
SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Alabama men's tennis players Juan Martin and Filip Planinsek fell in the Round of 32 at the ITA National Fall Championships at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego, Calif.
Martin and Planinsek faced Baylor's Sven Lah and Finn Bass in their opening match at the ITA National Fall Championships. The Baylor duo came out strong, posting a 6-4 win in the opening set. Martin and Planinsek battled through set two but suffered a 6-3 loss to conclude the match. Martin and Planinsek return to action tomorrow as the UA doubles team competes in the consolation Round of 16.

Martin and Planinsek will compete in the consolation Round of 16 Friday against Dario Huber and Victor Moreno Lozano from Nebraska at 9:30 p.m. CT. Additionally, the rest of the Alabama men's tennis team will open competition at the UCF Invite at the Collegiate Tennis Center in Lake Nona, Fla.
