
Alabama Men’s Tennis Concludes Day Two of MSU Bulldog Invitational

Filip Planinsek led the Crimson Tide on the second day of competition, recording a win in both singles and doubles play
STARKVILLE, Miss. – Filip Planinsek paced the Alabama men's tennis team Saturday at the MSU Bulldog Invitational at the A.J. Pitts Tennis Centre in Starkville, Miss.
Planinsek and partner Patrick Kaukovalta opened the day with a 6-3 doubles win, downing Tulane's Benji Jacobson and Billy Suarez.
Planinsek followed the doubles victory with a win in singles, going two sets against Tulane's Rafael de Alba. The UA freshman opened the match with a 6-3 first-set score, before following with a 6-4 score in the second set for the win.
In addition to Planinsek, Enzo Aguiard posted a win for the Tide as he battled his way through three sets. Aguiard took the first set 6-4 before falling 6-2 in the second. He clinched the win over Tulane's Luc Hoeijmans with a 6-4 third set decision.
The Tide closes the MSU Bulldog Invitational Sunday, with UA competing at 1 p.m.
