
Alabama Men’s Tennis Earns Five Wins on Day Two of the Bama Spring Shootout

The Crimson Tide has totaled 13 wins through two days of play at its season opening home tourney
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama men's tennis team won five matches on day two of the Bama Spring Shootout being held in the Roberta Alison Baumgardner Tennis Facility this weekend, pushing its two-day victory total to 13.
Rookie Rudi Christiansen, who is in just his second week on campus after joining the Crimson Tide for the spring semester, earned another win to boost his weekend total to three. Marcelo Sepulveda Garza, Gabriel Diaz Freire, Jeremy Gschwendtner and Vincent Rettke also earned singles wins for the Crimson Tide Saturday afternoon.
After 10 tiebreak sets on Friday, there were only three on Saturday, including the last match of the day, a 6-1, 7-6(5) win by Madison, Ala., native Rettke.
