
Alabama Track and Field Unveils 2021 Indoor Track and Field Schedule

The Crimson Tide opens the season Jan. 15 at the Vanderbilt Commodore Invitational in Nashville, Tenn.
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama men's and women's track and field has unveiled its competition schedule for the 2021 indoor season on Friday. The 2021 slate features five regular season meets, followed by the SEC Indoor Championships and NCAA Indoor Championships.
The Crimson Tide begin with the Vanderbilt Commodore Invitational to commence the season on Jan. 15 in Nashville, Tenn.
Alabama will then turn its attention to three straight meets in South Carolina. UA will start the trio of meets in the Palmetto State with the Carolina Challenge (Jan. 23) in Columbia, before participating in the Bob Pollock Invitational (Jan. 30) in Clemson. The squad will head back to Columbia for the South Carolina Invitational on Feb. 5-6.
The Tide concludes the regular season at the Tyson Invitational on Feb. 12-13, followed by the SEC Indoor Championship (Feb. 25-27) and NCAA Indoor Championships (March 12-13), all in Fayetteville, Ark.
Leading the 2021 indoor campaign are the nine returning All-Americans who were scheduled to compete at the national meet last March in Albuquerque, N.M. before the season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic. D'Jai Baker, Mercy Chelangat, Tamara Clark, Natassha McDonald and Takyera Roberson lead for the women, while Bobby Colantonio Jr., Robert Dunning, Christian Edwards and Isaac Odugbesan represent for the men’s squad.
