The Crimson Tide will compete in six races before postseason competition, including two in Tuscaloosa
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama rowing announced a spring racing schedule that includes six races prior to the start of postseason, including a pair in Tuscaloosa in March.
"We are all excited about the racing opportunities we have scheduled for this spring," UA head coach Glenn Putyrae said. "We have a schedule that will give us the opportunity to race almost every team that was at NCAAs in 2019 and will prepare us for the Big 12 Championship. It is our goal to compete at the highest level nationally and ultimately at NCAAs at the end of May."
After a fall slate that was limited to intra-squad competition, the Crimson Tide will open its spring schedule on Saturday, March 6 against Eastern Michigan in Tuscaloosa. The race is the first of two to take place on the Black Warrior River, squaring off against conference rival Tennessee two weeks later on Saturday, March 20.
