Morard overcame a tough opening round and climbed back up the leader board to finish atop at 6-under par 174 (75-67-32) over the three days. The final round of the Golf Capital of Tennessee Women's Open was shortened to nine holes due to inclement weather.
After starting the day four strokes back of the clubhouse leader, Morard went bogey free the final nine holes to hoist the trophy. The Huntsville, Ala., native eagled hole No. 8 to take the solo lead and birdied the final hole to solidify the one-stroke victory.
