Alba Cortina Pou Named to SEC Women's Tennis Community Service Team

The senior has volunteered for numerous organizations around the Tuscaloosa community
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – For her efforts in the community, senior Alba Cortina Pou was named to the Southeastern Conference Women's Tennis Community Service Team the league office announced on Wednesday.
Cortina Pou spent her time volunteering for several different organizations and events in the Tuscaloosa community. She participated in the annual Halloween Extravaganza and Project Angel Tree. The Blanes, Spain native, also spent time the women's tennis team helping to build a house through Habitat for Humanity.
In addition to her community service, Cortina Pou has been an outstanding student in the classroom. She currently has a perfect 4.0 GPA while double majoring in finance and marketing. On the court, Cortina Pou became the first Alabama women's tennis player in program history to win the SEC Player of the Week honor in back-to-back weeks (Feb. 5 & 12). She ended the 2020 season with a team-best 13-2 singles mark.
