
Kenzie Wright Selected to Arnold Palmer Cup

Crimson Tide senior will represent the United States team
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – University of Alabama women's golfer Kenzie Wright has been named to the United States team for the 2020 Arnold Palmer Cup, the Golf Channel announced Friday afternoon.
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Arnold Palmer Cup originally scheduled for July 3-5, at Lahinch Golf Club will be postponed, and the 2020 playing of this event rescheduled to take place at Arnold Palmer's Bay Hill Club & Lodge on December 21-23, 2020.

Wright is one of six committee selections announced today based on the Arnold Palmer Cup Rankings through competition played through March 12, 2020.
Team USA
- The United States team is led by returners from last years team in Emilia Migliaccio (Wake Forest), Kaitlyn Papp (Texas), John Augenstein (Vanderbilt), and Quade Cummins (Oklahoma).
- Men's Arnold Palmer Cup Ranking selections include Augenstein, Garett Reband (Oklahoma), Cooper Dossey (Baylor), Cummins, Evan Katz (Duke), and William Mouw (Pepperdine).
- Women's ranking selections include, Rachel Kuehn (Wake Forest), Kenzie Wright (Alabama), Julia Johnson (Ole Miss), Addie Baggarly (Florida), Latanna Stone (LSU), and Allyson Geer (Michigan State).
- Joining Ricky Castillo (Florida) Migliaccio, Kaitlin Milligan (Oklahoma), John Pak (Florida State), Papp, and Davis Thompson (Georgia), who were selected on March 4, will be Pierceson Coody (Texas), Jaime Jacob (San Marcos State), Gina Kim (Duke), and Zach Zediker (Delta State) as Team USA committee selections.

Kenzie Wright Highlights
- It marks the third straight summer an Alabama women's golfers will compete in the event, Wright joins Kristen Gillman, Lauren Stephenson and Jeon Jiwon.
- Wright is the No. 17-ranked collegiate golfer according to the latest Golfstat rankings.
- She has played in all seven tournaments this season for the Crimson Tide with a stroke average of 71.92.
- The McKinney, Texas, native has carded 12 rounds at par or better and earned a runner-up finish at the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational.

- The Arnold Palmer Cup was co-founded by Arnold Palmer and The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) and began at the Bay Hill Club & Lodge, Orlando, Fla., in 1997.
- The event is a Ryder Cup-style tournament featuring the top men's and women's university/college golfers matching the United States against a team of International players.
