
Alabama Men’s Tennis Signs Rudi Christiansen for Spring 2021

The Heilbronn, Germany, native joins the Crimson Tide after a highly successful junior career in Europe
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Rudi Christiansen is slated to join the Alabama men's tennis team for the spring semester after signing with the Crimson Tide.
"Rudi loves to compete and every facet that goes into competing," Husack said. "He fits our team dynamic and is driven to constantly improve. He will impact our program this spring and throughout his Alabama career. We're excited to have him here in January."
Christiansen has been ranked in the top-five among junior players in Germany and has wins over four Top-30 ITF juniors. He has been ranked inside the top 130 in the German men's rankings and as high as 12.96 in the Universal Tennis Rating.
The son of Katja and Detlef Christiansen, he has been training at the Bruguera Tennis Academy in Barcelona and chose Alabama over Louisville, Arizona State, Mississippi State and Tulane.
