Emilie Øverås Shoots Career Low During Round Two of The Ally

Individually, two Crimson Tide golfers stand in the top-10 after 36 holes of action
WEST POINT, Miss. – Emilie Øverås shot a career-best round of 4-under par 68 to pace the Alabama women's golf team in the second round of The Ally at the Old Waverly Golf Club.
Four UA golfers made improvements from the opening round and a pair stand within the top-10 individually.
As a team, the Crimson Tide (294-285/579) bounced back beautifully on day two firing off a 3-under par 285, bumping the squad up two spots into sixth place in the standings. After 36 holes, South Carolina (287-281/568) holds a two-stroke lead over Tennessee (290-280/570) and LSU (288-284/572) rounds out the top three.
Leading the Lineup
- Øverås sits in a tie for ninth place after posting not only a new career-low of 68 but also just her second collegiate round in the 60s.
- The Alesund, Norway, native carded a team-high six birdies on the day.
- Kenzie Wright leads the squad with an overall 3-under par 141. Wright improved by a stroke to bump her up into a tie for seventh after shooting 2-under par 70 in the second round.
- Over the two rounds, Polly Mack (73-75/148) and Angelica Moresco (76-72/148) are tied for 37th in the individual standings at 4-over par 148.
- Michaela Morard (87-75/162) knocked 12 strokes off her opening round by finishing day two at 3-over par 75.

Up Next
Alabama will be paired up with Auburn and Ole Miss for the third and final round on Tuesday. The Tide will tee off at 8:30 a.m. from holes No. 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 in a shotgun start at the Old Waverly Golf Club.
