Kenzie Wright, Michaela Morard and Benedetta Moresco receive invites to ANWA
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama women's golf program will feature a trio of golfers competing in the second annual Augusta National Women's Amateur (ANWA), which will be held April 1-4, 2020 in Augusta, Ga., as senior Kenzie Wright, incoming freshmen Michaela Morard and Benedetta Moresco all received invitations recently.
Head Coach Mic Potter
"We are so excited that Kenzie Wright, the lone senior in our team, will be in the field for the second Augusta National Women's Amateur. Making it to Augusta has been a goal of Kenzie's since the day that the event was officially announced in April of 2018. Many hours of training have made her dream a reality. We are especially excited about what the future holds for Alabama women's golf with 2020 signees Michaela Morard of Huntsville, Ala, and Benedetta Moresco of Italy also receiving invitations. Michaela's and Benedetta's invitations to the ANWA identifies them as two of the top female amateurs in the world. An invitation to the ANWA is already the most coveted piece of mail in women's amateur golf. We can't wait to follow Kenzie's, Michaela's and Benedetta's progress in the event in early April."
