
Alabama Women’s Basketball Schedule Completed with Announcement of SEC Slate

The Crimson Tide will play 16 regular season SEC games beginning on January 2
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The 2019-20 Alabama women's basketball schedule was officially completed with the announcement of the Southeastern Conference matchups, which were released by the league office on Wednesday.
The Crimson Tide will play a total of 16 league games split evenly with eight at home and eight on the road. The schedule consists of a single game with 10 teams and a home and away with Auburn, Alabama's permanent opponent, and two rotating opponents that change annually. This year's rotating teams include Texas A&M and Kentucky.
The Tide will open conference play on the road in Baton Rouge when it takes on the LSU Tigers on Thursday, Jan. 2. Alabama begins its SEC home slate with back-to-back contests in Coleman Coliseum with its first coming on Sunday, Jan. 5 against South Carolina, before taking on Kentucky on Jan. 9. The team hits the road again on Jan. 12 to play against rival Auburn and then on Monday, Jan. 20 for a night game against Tennessee. Alabama will return home and close out the month with three consecutive contests in Coleman Coliseum. The home stand begins on Jan. 23 versus Texas A&M, followed by Vanderbilt on Jan. 26 and against Arkansas on Jan. 30.
Alabama is on the road to begin February when it makes the trip to Oxford to play Ole Miss on Feb. 2 and traveling to Lexington, Ky., to play the Kentucky Wildcats on Feb. 6. The Crimson Tide returns home for its second matchup with the Auburn Tigers on Feb. 9 before it travels to Athens to compete against Georgia on Feb. 16. Down the stretch the Tide plays versus Florida at home on Feb. 20, while taking on Mississippi State (Feb. 23) and Texas A&M (Feb. 27) on the road. To close out the season, UA will play a home contest against the Missouri Tigers on Sunday, March 1.
The 2020 SEC Women's Basketball Tournament will be played Wednesday, March 4 - Sunday, March 8 at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, S.C.
This year's team features 11 players returning from the 2018-19 roster, which is tied for the most in the SEC. Alabama also has four of five starters back for the upcoming season, including its top three scorers in senior Cierra Johnson, junior Jasmine Walker, along with redshirt junior Jordan Lewis who only played eight games last season after suffering a season-ending injury in December.
Season tickets are currently on sale for $45 for public reserved general admission. Faculty/staff and senior citizen season tickets are available for $25, and groups of four or more public reserved general admission are reduced to $35.
Donation tickets for the women's basketball season are also on sale and offered at the discounted group rate of $35. Tickets purchased will be given to local 501(c) 3 agencies and/or military personnel. Donation tickets will not be mailed to the account holder but will be donated directly to the participating agencies.
