
No. 25 Alabama Remains in Third Through Two Rounds of Schooner Fall Classic

Caroline Curtis fires a career-best and team-leading 4-under par 66 on Saturday
NORMAN, Okla. – The No. 25 Alabama women's golf team remains in third place after carding a season-best round of 2-over par 282 during Saturday's second round of the Schooner Fall Classic at Belmar Golf Club.
As a team, the Crimson Tide will enter Sunday's third and final 18 holes of play in third place with a 36-hole total of 566 (284-282). Aiming for its third consecutive Schooner Fall Classic team title, Alabama is just nine strokes back of clubhouse leader and tournament host Oklahoma (282-275/557) and eight strokes behind second place No. 2 Texas 558 (283-275/558).
A Look at the Alabama Lineup
- Freshman Caroline Curtis entered the day tied for 28th and vaulted up the leaderboard to a tie with ninth overall after turning in her first collegiate round under par at 4-under par 66. Curtis led the Tide with three consecutive birdies on the back nine and a total of five throughout the day. The Richmond, Va., native also holds the best par 5 scoring average (4.33) of any player in the field.
- Junior Polly Mack stayed consistent with nine consecutive pars and 16 pars all together to end round two in a tie for 18th place overall (69-72/141). On the week, Mack leads the field with 29 pars total.
- Junior Angelica Moresco remains in the top-25 as she is tied for 25th after posting 1-over par 71 Saturday.
- Senior Kenzie Wright will look to make moves in the final round as she is tied for 31st (70-74/144).
- Freshman Emilie Øverås turned in a career-best round of 3-over par 73 (78-73/151).
