Alabama’s Shallon Olsen Wins 2019 Canadian National Vault Title

The Crimson Tide gymnast scored a 14.450 to win the vault at the Canadian National Gymnastics Championships
OTTAWA, Ontario – University of Alabama gymnast Shallon Olsen closed out the 2019 Canadian National Championships by winning the vault title Sunday afternoon in Ottawa, Ontario at The Fieldhouse on the Carleton University campus.
Olsen scored a 14.450 to take the win, adding the title to her World Championships vault silver medal from October, when she became the first Canadian woman to earn a vault medal at Worlds. The Tide freshman posted a score of 14.516 to take the silver at Worlds, with Team USA's Simone Biles winning gold.
In other action at the Canadian Nationals, Olsen finished fourth on the floor exercise with a score of 13.700, and sixth on the balance beam with a 12.966.
