Alabama Softball at No. 5 in Week Nine USA Today/NFCA Top-25

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama softball heads into this week's games ranked No. 5 in the USA Today/NFCA poll and No. 7 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball poll.
The Crimson Tide defeated UAB on Wednesday before falling in two of its three weekend games at then-No. 17 South Carolina. The Tide dropped one spot in the coaches poll and three spots in the media poll. Alabama remains the highest-ranked SEC team in the NFCA poll, joined in the top 10 by Florida (6/9), LSU (7/5) and Tennessee (9/8). In total, 10 SEC programs are represented in at least one top-25 poll with Missouri and Mississippi State receiving votes.
This week, Alabama plays four games at home, starting Wednesday, April 10 against Georgia State at 6 p.m. CT. A three-game series against 13th-ranked Georgia begins Saturday, April 13 at 11 a.m. CT live on ESPN2.
