"We've had a lot of growth this season, we've been in the top-25 almost the whole season so we felt pretty good about the postseason," said Husack. "It's not just about making the NCAA Tournament, we want to do well and last year we set the bar pretty high by making it to the Round of 16, but for now we're focused on South Florida, that's all that is on our mind right now. We're ready to go."
The winners of each match on Friday will advance to the finals of the regional and play on Saturday, May 4 at 3 p.m. CT. Texas is the No. 2 overall seed in the tournament with the winner of its regional advancing to take on the winner of the Champaign Regional.
The regional rounds will be held at campus sites with Super Regional action beginning the following week at campus sites from May 11-12. The 2019 championships will be conducted May 16-25 at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida. The men's team semifinals and title match are scheduled for May 18 and 19, respectively.
