Crimson Tide in 14th overall entering Monday’s final 18 holes of play

OPELIKA, Ala. – Alabama junior Kenzie Wright carded a round of even par 72 on Sunday and is in a tie for 12^th place overall to lead the women's golf team after 36 holes of play at the Evans Derby Experience. As a team, the Crimson Tide is in 14^th place with a 614 (301-313) entering the tournament's final round on Monday.

Wright finished the day with four birdies and four bogeys on the way to her seventh round of par or better this season. The Frisco, Texas, native will enter Monday's third round with a 36-hole total of 1-over par 145 (73-72).

Junior Jiwon Jeon is in a tie for 25^th overall, giving the Crimson Tide two golfers among the top-25 individuals, with a two-day total of 4-over 148 (72-76). Sophomore Angelica Moresco is in 75^th with a 158 (75-83) on the par-72, 6,250-yard Saugahatchee Country Club. Junior Anna Reid (82-82/164) and freshman Mary Mac Trammell (81-84/165) round out the UA golfers in 82^nd and 85^th place, respectively.

Freshman Carolina Caminoli, playing as an individual this weekend, is in a tie for 78^th with a 160 (80-80).

The tournament features one of the top fields in the nation in that every squad in the 14-team field is ranked among the top 50 teams in the nation, according to Golfstat.com. Nine teams, including the Crimson Tide, are ranked among the top 20 nationally entering this weekend's play.

Second-ranked Texas is the clubhouse leader with a team total of 3-over par 579, three strokes ahead of No. 3 Duke (582). Arkansas (584), ranked No. 8 in the nation, is in third, while No. 11 Florida State (585) and No. 14 Kent State (590) round out the top five teams, respectively.

The third and final round of play will tee off Monday morning with a shotgun start at 8:15 a.m. CT. Live scoring throughout the event can be found on Golfstat.com.
