AUBURN, Ala. – The Alabama women's basketball dropped its road matchup with Auburn, 77-38, on Sunday at Auburn Arena. With its fourth-straight loss the Crimson Tide falls to 11-14, 3-9 in the SEC, while the Tigers move to 19-7 and 7-6 in league play.
"We just couldn't make a shot," head coach Kristy Curry stated. "We were really cold today and at the end of the day you can't come on the road and shoot 23 percent and expect to put yourself in a position to win."
Sophomore Ariyah Copeland picked up her fourth double-double of the season after leading the team with 12 points, 12 rebounds, three steals and two blocks. Copeland scored 10 of her 12 points in the second half, while shooting 4-of-5 from the floor for the game. Sophomore Jasmine Walker also chipped in nine points and four rebounds.
The Tide will return to action on Thursday, Feb. 21 when it travels to Nashville to take on Vanderbilt. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. CT and will air on SEC Network +.
