The Crimson Tide worked through all four events during the event showing off new routines ahead of the 2020 season
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – While the temperature outside left no doubt that winter has arrived in Tuscaloosa, the Alabama gymnastics team warmed things up inside Coleman Coliseum Wednesday night with a series of hot routines in front of a vocal crowd during the squads Crimson & White Preview.
The Crimson Tide worked through all four events during the evening, with each gymnast also getting some time on the microphone to talk about the season to come, and in the case of the Tide's freshmen, to introduce themselves.
"I hope we use tonight as a starting point for realizing what we're capable of," UA head coach Dana Duckworth said. "It was wonderful getting some of the freshmen out there and getting their feet wet. We have a lot of gymnastics to add and we're still working on getting everyone healthy, but we had a nice base out there tonight to build on going into the season."
With final exams for the fall semester in the books, the Crimson Tide is focused on putting the final touches on routines and preparing for its season opener at Auburn on Jan. 10. Alabama begins its home slate on Jan. 17 against the defending NCAA champion Oklahoma Sooners. Season tickets can be purchased online at RollTide.com and through the Alabama Ticket Office (205.348.2262).
