The freshman outfielder will join the Crimson Tide for the spring semester
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama softball head coach Patrick Murphy has announced the addition of freshman outfielder Mary Greg Anderson to the team for the 2020 season.
"We are pleased to have Mary Greg Anderson join us this spring," Murphy said. "She is going to provide depth in the outfield and speed on the base paths. She's an outstanding young lady with a family history of Alabama graduates."
Anderson was a four-time All-Area outfielder at Athens High School in Athens, Ala., guiding the team to the regional tournament all four seasons. She led the team in batting average each season during her career and twice earned All-State honors. She was a three-time offensive MVP for the team and took home defensive MVP accolades as a senior.
Playing club softball with Firecrackers Alabama 2000 Ingram, she won the 16u ASA National Championship in 2017 and, playing with Colorado Bombers 16u Valdez in 2018, won the Colorado Sparkler tournament.
