Nealy Martin Named SEC Co-Scholar Athlete of the Year

Martin shares this award with two others within the league
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Senior defender Nealy Martin was named as one of the three 2019 Southeastern Conference Co-Scholar Athletes of the Year, as announced by the league on Sunday.
The Birmingham, Ala. native owns a 4.0 cumulative GPA in chemical engineering, earning both President's List and Dean's List honors throughout her time at Alabama. Martin is a three-time SEC Academic Honor Recipient and was named to the 2018 CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team. She is the fifth player in program history to receive this distinction.
Martin has seen action and started in all 18 matches this season and has accumulated four goals and four assists. She scored the game-winning goal versus Tennessee in double overtime to notch Alabama's first conference win of the season. She was also named to the 2019 SEC Community Service Team.
She joins Mississippi State's Makayla Waldner and Missouri's Sarah Luebbert as this year's honorees.
