Crimson Tide Continues Play at CCB Collegiate Invitational on Saturday

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Junior Sam Fischer and freshman Avi Shugar moved on to the doubles final of the White Draw with two wins on Saturday in the CCB Collegiate Invitational at the Country Club of Birmingham.

Round-by-Round

Fischer/Shugar started their day cruising to an 8-1 victory over Pasini/Puric of UAB, before defeating Hain/Wilson of Ole Miss, 8-4, to advance to the final.
In singles, freshman Marcelo Sepulveda Garza won his match versus Louis Delcour of South Alabama, 6-2, 2-6, 6-2, in consolations. Fischer picked up his first singles win of the tournament when he eased past David Faulker of Belmont, 6-3, 6-4.
