Riccardo Roberto and Alexey Nesterov Make Appearances in Oracle ITA Final Fall Rankings

Roberto and Nesterov climbed into the rankings for the first time as a doubles pair
TEMPE, Ariz. – Junior Riccardo Roberto and senior Alexey Nesterov are ranked for the first time as a doubles pair with Roberto also coming in at No. 96 in singles, while the duo appeared at No. 40 in doubles in the Oracle ITA Final Fall Rankings, the organization announced on Wednesday.
Roberto turned in a solid fall season with a 7-3 singles mark, including going 2-0 against nationally ranked opponents. The Padova, Italy native, earned ranked wins over then-No. 25 Tim Sandkaulen of Ole Miss on Sept. 15 and against then-No. 91 Boris Kozlov of LSU at the ITA Southern Regionals on Oct. 19.
In doubles, Roberto/Nesterov compiled a 5-1 record during the fall season. The five wins were tied for the most on the team.
The Alabama men's tennis team begins its dual match slate with a doubleheader on Saturday, Jan. 18 against UAB and Chattanooga at the Roberta Alison Baumgardner Indoor Facility.
