Alabama Track and Field Men No. 7 and Women No. 14 in First National Indoor Rankings

The Crimson Tide men and women both figure in the top-15 in the first NCAA Division I Track & Field National Rating Index of the indoor season
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama track and field men are No. 7 and the women are No. 14 in the first indoor regular-season NCAA Division I Track & Field National Rating Index the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced Tuesday.
The Crimson Tide is heading into its third meet of the season this weekend at the Bob Pollock Invitational in Clemson, S.C., following strong performances at both the UAB Blazer Invitational and the Vanderbilt Invitational.
Alabama posted several marks at the Vanderbilt Invitational that rank in last week's top-10 nationally.
Sophomore Tamara Clark is ranked seventh in the 60 meters after winning the Vanderbilt meet with a 7.30. She also ran a leg on the Tide's winning 4x400-meter relay, which was the fifth-fastest in the nation last weekend with a time of 3:36.81 The men's distance medley relay is third after running a 10:04.54
In the field events, Portious Warren ranked fourth nationally in the shot put last weekend with a throw of 56-02.25 (17.13m) and first in the SEC this season.
The Crimson Tide returns to action Jan. 25-26 with the Bob Pollock Invitational in Clemson, S.C.
