FORT WORTH, Texas - Michelle Diltz, who is currently in her 13th season at The University of Alabama, earned the title of Master Strength and Conditioning Coach by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches association (CSCCa) and was presented with her blue MSCC jacket on Thursday, May 10 in a formal ceremony at the CSCCa's National Conference. The honor of Master Strength and Conditioning Coach is the highest of such awarded by the CSCCa.
"To be recognized in this year's MSCC class, as well as being one of only 22 female coaches to reach this merit, is a great honor," said Diltz. "There are so many people to thank who have helped and mentored me on my way. The ability to give back everything I have learned, and will continue learn, to those around me is a true blessing. I love being a strength and conditioning coach, and I am so thankful for my dream-come-true career."
Diltz, who works with softball, women's golf, cheerleading and dance, was one of 18 coaches from across the nation to earn the title this year. In order to receive this certification and title of distinction, an individual must first hold a bachelor's degree, currently be practicing strength and conditioning at the collegiate or professional level full time, hold a current CSCCa membership, hold the CSCCa certification and have a minimum of 12 years of experience as a full-time strength and conditioning coach.
