Play Suspended Midway Through Second Round of Aggie Invitational

Crimson Tide currently owns an eight-stroke lead on the field
BRYAN, Texas – Play was suspended due to darkness midway through the second round of the 2018 Aggie Invitational on Texas A&M's Traditions Club on Saturday. At the time play was stopped, No. 8 Alabama held an eight-stroke lead on the 14-team field.
The Tide will have as many as five holes left to play before beginning the third and final round of the two-day, 54-hole event. The stacked field consists of six teams ranked are among the top-10 squads in the nation, highlighted by No. 1-ranked Oklahoma State and No. 2 Texas A&M, who is serving as the host team this weekend.
Senior Lee Hodges is at even par after 32 holes and is currently in fourth overall. The Ardmore, Tenn., native began the day with a 3-over 75, but turned his play around with five birdies over his last nine holes before play was halted after he finished the 14th hole.
Senior Jonathan Hardee is in a tie for ninth with a 2-over par after 32 holes. Junior Davis Riley is in a tie for 12th at 3-over par through 32 holes to give the Tide three golfers among the top 15 individuals.
Tide freshmen Davis Shore (+5) and Wilson Furr (+8) are in a tie for 23rd and 30th respectively, after 33 holes played on the par 72, 7,088-yard layout
Alabama finished the opening round with a team score of 289 to own a six-stroke lead over the top-ranked Cowboys (295). LSU, ranked No. 12 in the nation, was third at 300, while Houston (301) and the tournament-host Aggies (302) rounded out the top five.
