Alabama Men’s Track & Field No. 8, Women No. 23 in Week 1 USTFCCCA National Rankings

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama men's track & field team is No. 8, while the Crimson Tide women check in at No. 23 in the first regular season U.S. Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) outdoor rankings released Monday.
Alabama's Vincent Kiprop sprinted to the men's 10,000 meters title at the Stanford Invitational on Friday in his first outdoor race of the season. The Kericho, Kenya native finished in a personal-best 28:19.07, which is the second-fastest time in school history and ranks as the No. 1 collegiate time in the nation so far this season.
Alabama will host the Crimson Tide Invitational presented by Beynon Sports, April 6-7, at the Sam Bailey Track & Field Complex. The meet will be UA's only home event this season.
