ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Alabama gymnastics team takes to the floor in the 2018 NCAA Championships Semifinals I on Friday at 12 p.m. CT in Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis. Check back to this page for links to all the coverage throughout the weekend.
Both of Friday's semifinals and Saturday's NCAA Championships Super Six Team Finals will be broadcast live on ESPN's family of networks.
Coverage begins on Friday at 12 p.m. CT on ESPN2 with Semifinal I and continues at 6 p.m. on ESPNU (Semifinal II). The NCAA Super Six Team Finals are slated for Saturday, April 21 at 6 p.m. on ESPNU.
Olympic medalists and ESPN gymnastics analysts Bart Conner and Kathy Johnson Clarke are calling the action on ESPN2 and ESPNU, with Laura Rutledge handling reporting duties on the telecasts.
New to this year's coverage, ESPN will feature commentary on each apparatus stream on ESPN3 and the ESPN App for a unique second-screen offering surrounding the championship. 2008 Olympic teammates Alicia Sacramone Quinn (vault) and Bridget Sloan (bars), SEC Network gymnastics analyst Lauren Sisler (beam) and three-time Olympian John Roethlisberger (floor) will provide analysis for their respective events, in addition to the return of ESPN3's all-around stream.
ESPN2's Semifinal I action features Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, LSU, Nebraska and UCLA while second semifinal features Cal, Florida, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Utah and Washington.
The top-3 teams from each semifinal session will advance to Saturday's Super Six Team Final.
The Tide will start its semifinal session on the uneven bars and will then move to the balance beam before going to its first bye. After its first bye, Alabama will close competition on floor exercise then vault before going to its second bye of the day.
