
Alabama’s Lauren Stephenson and Kristen Gillman Hold Steady on ANNIKA Award Watch List

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama junior Lauren Stephenson and sophomore Kristen Gillman remain ranked No. 4 and No. 7, respectively, on the latest ANNIKA Award Watch List, the ANNIKA Foundation announced Thursday.
Through seven tournaments this season, Stephenson has a team-leading scoring average of 69.30 with seven top-10 finishes, including six in the top-three and one tournament victory. Stephenson leads the team in rounds in the 60s with 13 in 20 rounds played. Gillman is second on the squad with a 70.40 average with five top-10 finishes and one victory. Gillman has been at par or lower in 14 of the Tide's 20 rounds this season.
The ANNIKA Award has been presented annually since 2014 and honors the outstanding women's collegiate golfer in the United States. The award is named for former college and LPGA golfer Annika Sorenstam.
Alabama will return to action April 13-15 at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic in Athens, Ga.
