
Alabama Men’s Tennis Receives Votes in Oracle/ITA National Rankings

The Crimson Tide is off to its best start since 2003 after starting the season 9-0
TEMPE, Ariz. - After starting the 2018 campaign with its best start since 2003, the Alabama men's tennis team received votes in the Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis Men's Division I National Team Rankings on Wednesday, as announced by the association.
The Crimson Tide is 9-0 this season which marks the best start in the last 15 years. Alabama has dominated in its first nine matches of the season by shutting out six opponents, while compiling a 34-3 singles record and 21-3 record in doubles play.
A national rankings panel voted on the Top 25 teams and will do so up to the ITA Division I National Team Indoor Championships in February. Upon the conclusion of the two national events, team rankings will transition to the computerized system.
Alabama men's tennis returns to action for three matches this weekend inside the Roberta Alison Baumgardner Indoor Tennis Facility. The Tide will take on Pepperdine on Friday, Feb. 9, before playing in a doubleheader on Sunday, Feb. 11 against San Diego State (1 p.m.) and Lipscomb (6 p.m.).
