Alabama Men’s Track & Field No. 9, Women No. 16 in Latest USTFCCCA National Rankings

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama men's track & field team moved to No. 9, while the Crimson Tide women climbed a spot to No. 16 in the latest U.S. Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) indoor rankings released Monday.
The Tide men turned in two of the top individual performances in the NCAA this season at the Tiger Paw Invitational over the weekend as senior Ruebin Walters raced to a time of 7.61 in the 60-meter hurdles, the second-fastest time in the country so far in 2018 and senior Daniel Haugh posted the No. 4 national mark in the weight throw with a toss of 74-4 (22.66m). For the Tide women, junior Stacey Destin turned in the No. 5 high jump mark of the season, clearing 6-0 ¾ (1.85m)
Alabama will be off this weekend before traveling to College Station, Texas for the 2018 Southeastern Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships, Feb. 24-25, at Texas A&M University.
