Patrick Kaukovalta Falls in Opening Round of Oracle ITA National Fall Championships

The sophomore fell to No. 94 Aleks Kovacevic (Illinois), 6-4, 7-6(3)

SURPRISE, Ariz. - Sophomore Patrick Kaukovalta fell short in the first round of the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships to No. 94 Aleks Kovacevic of Illinois on Tuesday at the Surprise Tennis and Racquet Complex in Surprise, Ariz.

Kaukovalta dropped a hard-fought match to No. 15 seed Kovacevic, 6-4, 7-6(3). The sophomore will continue play against No. 11 Johannes Ingildsen of Florida on Thursday morning at 11 a.m. in the consolation round.
