Alabama Completes Fall Season at USTA $25k Futures

Alexey Nesterov falls in the qualifying final, 4-6, 6-1, 6-4

NORMAN, Okla. – Junior Alexey Nesterov came up short against Alessandro Ventre in the qualifying final of the USTA $25k Futures on Tuesday, Nov. 13, at the Oklahoma University Gregg Wadley Tennis Pavilion in Norman, Okla.

Nesterov put up a fight and pushed it to a third set, but ultimately fell to Ventre 4-6, 6-1, 6-4.

After competing in 11 tournaments, Alabama men's tennis concludes the fall season. Alabama commences the dual match season beginning on Jan. 19 when it hosts Michigan at 1 p.m. and Chattanooga at 6 p.m. CT at the Roberta Alison Baumgardner Indoor Tennis Facility.
