Riccardo Roberto Wins on Wednesday, Moves to Round of 16 at USTA $15k Futures Tournament

The sophomore defeated Giles Hussey, 6-4, 7-5

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Sophomore Riccardo Roberto won his first-round main draw match against Giles Hussey, 6-4, 7-5, on Wednesday at the USTA $15k Futures tournament.

With the win, Roberto moves on to the Round of 16 and will take on No. 6 seed Justin Butsch on Thursday following the 10 a.m. matches.

In other main draw action, junior Edson Ortiz dropped a tough match against No. 4 seed Sam Riffice, 2-6, 6-4, 6-2.
