
Several Players Travel to Birmingham for USTA $15k Futures Tournament

The qualifying round of the professional tournament starts on Friday
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Six different players will participate in the USTA $15k Futures professional tournament beginning with qualifying play on Friday in Birmingham, Ala.
Juniors Edson Ortiz, Alexey Nesterov and Zhe Zhou, along with sophomore Riccardo Roberto, Sam Fischer and Jeremy Gschwendtner will participate in the event.
The qualifying draw consists of 128 singles players, while Ortiz/Nesterov will play in the main draw of doubles which does not begin until Monday, Oct. 29.
Fischer will take on Christopher Morin Kougoucheff, No. 16 seed Nesterov will play against Finn Reynolds, Oritz will compete against Dejon Bevins, Gschwendtner is set to take on Kevin Le, Roberto matches up with Rossouw Norval, while No. 10 seed Zhou gets a first round match against Zachary Smith.
