Kaukovalta Comes Up Short in Semifinals of ITA Southern Regional Championships

The sophomore fell to Trevor Foshey (MSU), 4-6, 6-4, 6-1
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Sophomore Patrick Kaukovalta dropped his match against Trevor Foshey (Mississippi State) in the semifinal round of the ITA Southern Regional Championships on Monday morning at the Alabama Tennis Stadium.
Kaukovalta began Monday's match by going up 5-0 in the first set against Foshey, before the Mississippi State senior battled back to make it 5-4. Kaukovalta won the final game to decide the first set. After a back-and-forth second set, Foshey took it 6-4, and then in the third set, won 6-1, to advance to the singles final.
