11 Alabama Swimmers Slated for U.S. Open Action

The Alabama contingent includes two NCAA champions and eight All-Americans
EAST MEADOW, N.Y. – The Alabama swimming and diving program is sending 11 swimmers to the U.S. Open this week in East Meadow, N.Y., at the Nassau County Aquatics Center.
The group includes NCAA Champions and All-Americans Luke Kaliszak and Pavel Romanov, All-Americans Laurent Bams, Robert Howard, Hannah Musser, Mia Nonnenberg, Christopher Reid and Bailey Scott as well as Alexis Preski, Temarie Tomley and Braxton Young.
The meet starts Wednesday, August 2 and runs through Sunday, August 6. Bams, Howard, Reid, Scott and Tomley will open the meet with the prelims of the 100-meter freestyle on Wednesday while Nonnenberg will open with the 200-meter butterfly that same day.
In all, Crimson Tide swimmers are slated for 33 individual swims and two relays.
