A 2016 ITA All-American, Osama opened the tourney with a win over Argentina's Eduardo Agustin Torre, 2-6, 6-3, 6-0. That first set would be the last he would lose to this point. He downed Portugal's Bernardo Saraiva, 7-5, 6-4 in the round of 16 before beating Anis Ghorbel of Tunisia 7-6 (4), 6-3 in the semifinals.
In the semifinals, Osama beat Zimbabwe's Benjamin Lock 7-6 (8), 6-2 to set up the championship final with Hossam. This will be the first time the men have met in competition.
