Crimson Tide teams hold steady entering this weekend’s NCAA qualifying meet
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama track and field teams held their positions in the latest U.S. Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) National Team Rankings, released Monday. The men's team remains No. 4 with 231.13 points while the women's team stays at No. 14 with 129.92 points.
The national team rankings are compiled by a mathematical formula based on national descending order lists and data taken from previous seasons. The purpose and methodology of the rankings is to create an index that showcases the teams that have the best potential of achieving the top spots in the national team race. Ranking points do not equate with NCAA Championships team points.
Alabama's next meet will be the NCAA East Regional, which will be held May 25-27 at the University of Kentucky.
